Or of course, you can do these for a yummy Monday Munchies snack :)</span></p><p><span style="color:#666666;">If you have a tray similar to this, that's great! But if you don't, that's fine as well. Just place the deviled eggs on a plate and put a small bowl in the center of the plate filled with your choice of decor. (We chose different kinds of cute, mini tomatoes.)</span></p><p><span style="color:#666666;">To finish off the eggs, (once they are done being made with the pale yellow filling in each one), sprinkle a bit of paprika on them. Then, add a teeny, chopped green olive and Bon Apitite! :)</span></p><p><span style="color:#ffcc00;"><span style="font-family:webdings;">@@</span><span style="font-size:0;">- </span><span style="font-size:130%;">Medium</span></span></p><p><span style="color:#666666;">Baked with L♥ve,</span></p><p><span style="color:#666666;">The Gourmet Scrappers</span></p>The Gourmet Scrappershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05665312523299176288noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5391085945584064042.post-88008666274765044832009-11-22T12:38:00.000-08:002009-11-22T13:01:31.414-08:00Butterfly Birthday<div align="center"><span style="color:#666666;">*Butterfly Birthday Card*<br /></span></div><span style="color:#666666;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5407034398164387378" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 329px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPhxdSSuzts48wsYujB36MjjNTjBvTiMxBOSC-GQmObZdLqhqC_vmOUK7HgmUsU0gR8zxN40aWRf-BhJ_0IRjwrdv1lEou517ipCBOhmZ-lOkg3A8NIR-X27pds0_5se8ABIExBv_2Wo9g/s400/051.JPG" border="0" /><br /></span><div><div><span style="color:#666666;">I made this card for my cousin's 12th birthday! While they are baking, get your frostings ready. You will need light pink, dark green, light green, white, and black frostings. Put each color of frosting (except for the pink) into a seperate plastic bag. Now, cut a little opening in the corner of each bag so that when you squeeze the frosting out, it can come out in a fine line. (You might want to try this out on a 'not up to date' newspaper before you do it on the cookies.</span></div><div><span style="color:#666666;">9. Once the cookies have baked and cooled, frost them with the pink. </span></div><div><span style="color:#666666;">10. Now, make a fine line at the edge of the 'watermelons' with the dark green, as seen in the picture(s).<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368781188769994498" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_9bM4PQTrcA0l2p8xddS1c4Snrb7Lba-kx9fSR1t9DnTBx-wbtpcL1mGtD5oZavYUL_HgZ6Hgy2rOOrd5mx3R_T9AJsWulnbqp2kDoAqmn2uPYz7eyqdQ1uJKPObPlNXQdfCAfXslGkQ_/s320/bowl+of+scraps+014.JPG" border="0" /></span></div><div><span style="color:#666666;">11. Carly keeps this one in her room all the time and we made an orange and black one for a Halloween party that we hosted. To make it, all you need is a styrofoam ball (any size), sequins, stick pins and two different sized beads...small and medium sized.<div><br /></div><div>How to make it:</div><div><br /></div><div>Put (in this order) small bead, large bead and then the sequin onto the stick pin. Then stick it anywhere in the ball. This is where the top of your ball will be. Then continue to stick the bead filled pins in a line down the ball until you reach the first pin you put in. Once you have a string of beads around the ball, then do it the opposite way so that you will have a cross. Then fill in the four sections and your ball is finished. You can choose any colors to do this in and it can take anywhere from 20-120 minutes depending on how large your styrofoam ball is and your patience level. </div><div><br /></div><div>This craft is rated with a:</div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:webdings;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#33CC00;">@ </span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#33CC00;">E</span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#33CC00;">a</span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#33CC00;">s</span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#33CC00;">y</span></span></div><div><br />Hope yours turns out great!</div><div><br /></div><div>Baked with Love,</div><div>The Gourmet Scrappers</div><div><br /></div><div>P.S. And as you can tell, most of the cookie dough from this bowl is gone! That's because us + our families ate it! It's sooo good and irrisistable. We thought that was a great idea (to take a break) because we have been so stressed trying to get everything up in time so that is why we haven't posted in a while. You definitely can expect a lot more in August and we still will post a little bit this following week. <div><br /></div><div>Also, the winner of the poll said that they didn't mind if the Craft Corner was not on Saturday so it will still be weekly just not on Saturdays anymore so come find it. <div><br /></div><div>One more thing, if you have a facebook make sure to become a fan of Bowl of Scraps on facebook because there are exclusive pictures that we have not shown on the blog so you can go look at those. The direct web address is <a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bowl-of-Scraps/88783523999?ref=nf">right here</a> but you need to have a facebook to connect to that link. </div><div><br /></div><div>Baked with Love, <3</div><div>The Gourmet Scrappers</div></div>The Gourmet Scrappershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05665312523299176288noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5391085945584064042.post-8673985691721976572009-07-15T11:19:00.000-07:002009-07-22T09:17:50.411-07:00A Colorful Happy Birthday!<span style="color:#666666;">It's Kristina Werner's 56th Color Inspiration Challenge! And here are the colors we had to use: </span><br /><span style="color:#666666;"><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358753914254705858" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 54px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlc0ce-L_g9ImChJWkR3y74SJXZ5lOwZ-3x3qk-NVCz9pjQymRhtlMyjPrV-PlnVhShcVzkqFZwlzYQk62Keuf4bOlQI3rd6X7mVlctjLIBpxoWUn6xuQ5JSV-4KK0HI2vR3JigZmT4uKM/s200/071409-swatches.jpg" border="0" /><br /></span><span style="color:#666666;">We thought these colors would make a great Happy Birthday card (in celebration of Carly's birthday)! So that's what we did :)<br /><br /></span><span style="color:#666666;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358754274436107842" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 301px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLaBdmK8kV_qyol4aRX3zIcVtAZ8-JLKOuG263bagne1jKqN0fTb4jnsNfQLYdICU4BZxKibD06pCSVebqmkl3VgxhE22jMNtcVRdQ7_OZPmPgDo4tbRc3mSRt4MVakOzli8PT-M4Hjd-C/s400/bowl+of+scraps+002.JPG" border="0" /></span><br /><p><span style="color:#666666;">To complete the Happy Birthday card there had to be a bow on it, right? So, like all beautifully wrapped gifts, we stuck a mini white sheer color bow in the top right corner.</span></p><p><span style="color:#666666;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358755052858032946" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgthOf-CrAn5xaDS3Ywy8TlrTiZN_EX8BnBSBmjEeeYfxmX3JSE5C0OlNJypveRrT97twAoxVMTbCWENw3koNG9ZAp5G8WusU1qRLoEB4udETg98933P0ugdebNwyN-Zf3Or-i5AwBafTRZ/s400/bowl+of+scraps+008.JPG" border="0" /></span></p><p><span style="color:#666666;">Another idea we used was colaborating all different colored thread into a bow! And if you were wondering, the colors that were put into that multi-colored bow are... red, orange, yellow, green, and blue. (All the colors from the challenge, except for white.)</span></p><p><span style="color:#666666;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358755994172727570" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 312px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyMwIEWTUCV1jdnsxRg7bV_ks6TKjIhvRiJeA9PQXm7xV71-qsUs0Y3Ao4un6jEqBi400QmTAEXNOSUp5i_Zhg6QhGr4FeyVnnvA1LPfPoxxgSQ-HO3rAKJvKzgQz0HU5pEk2MAh9fMZNr/s400/bowl+of+scraps+003.JPG" border="0" /></span></p><p><span style="color:#666666;">Well, we hope you liked the card! It'll definitely be a keeper.<br /></p><p></span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwh2YcWLHT7rzVNmkY2kciRSychQbXkX8PFbaUc4gxFxPvb5FSn4hLW2d5eBCP8rrDqwqBgPYlOR-HuHlYYnv8C6YRwu9G6FB99c_Slx9tFpJvAHJrcvYSe0oofivUD6ral_Ci4lkoLQvC/s1600-h/bowl+of+scraps+039.JPG"><span style="color:#666666;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349244264562221234" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwh2YcWLHT7rzVNmkY2kciRSychQbXkX8PFbaUc4gxFxPvb5FSn4hLW2d5eBCP8rrDqwqBgPYlOR-HuHlYYnv8C6YRwu9G6FB99c_Slx9tFpJvAHJrcvYSe0oofivUD6ral_Ci4lkoLQvC/s400/bowl+of+scraps+039.JPG" border="0" /></span></a><span style="color:#666666;">All you need for this project is:<br /><br /><br /><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="WHITE-SPACE: pre"></span>*a 6in by 6in piece of cardstock<br /><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="WHITE-SPACE: pre"></span>*8 2in by 2in squares cut out of patterned paper<br /><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="WHITE-SPACE: pre"></span>*either a mini 2in by 2in paper frame or make one with paper<br /><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="WHITE-SPACE: pre"></span>*yarn<br /><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="WHITE-SPACE: pre"></span>*a 2in by 2in cute picture of the two of you<br /><br /><br />Here's how to make it:<br /><br /><br />Thanks to Kristina Werner, we have this idea. She made a card kind of like this and we changed it and put our twist to it. First you need to use a EZ Runner or double-sided tape to attach the 2in by 2in pieces of paper around the outside edge. Then you can take your picture, put some adhesives on it and stick it down. Now, take your pre-made frame and use mini glue dots or tiny pieces of double-sided tape to attach it over your picture. If you don't have a frame already, you can take a 2 1/2 in. piece of paper and cut around the edge with a decorative scissor. Instead of putting your picture on first you can lay that on top of your homemade frame and then attach the frame to the cardstock. The last step is to attach yarn to the back of the cardstock and stick it in a bag or wrap it up and wait until tomorrow to give your treasure to him. Impress your dad with your artistic skills. :)<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349244074649167762" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvgyBdtmAO9GRz7xnz0Y4pLlhWDr5atBkxaoBxUROmwOp7grjsKh0xWOxjQByLsCoKSgPG6xvOVR-ZhsMUoPhZL1XR7ca3m-t42UEErGQCaY-JYSsjkPLbw7Ho7Fwi3qppTnEgqmkOdSd1/s400/bowl+of+scraps+037.JPG" border="0" /></span></p><p><span style="color:#666666;">This craft is rated with a:</span></p><p><span style="color:#ffcc00;"><span style="font-family:webdings;">@@</span> Medium</span></p><p><span style="color:#666666;">Baked with Love,<br />The Gourmet Scrappers</span> </p>The Gourmet Scrappershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05665312523299176288noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5391085945584064042.post-67665739407889377932009-06-19T20:09:00.001-07:002009-06-29T21:20:40.890-07:00Brownie Pies<span style="color:#666666;">Brownie Pies!<br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349243737303449890" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZLPU4LRKQGH8hJE8oObMJ17ncwlnFih_aMK9WaNn2n_B7wDf9mNboFzCllRvjGlg57AVt-bGuZCsZjXDkdE5utzs-aUXG4NhFX7j6zyWqE75rs1opcy4apqXmjsPfICfoIdR4xT6yHnQC/s400/bowl+of+scraps+030.JPG" border="0" /><br />A few days ago we were swimming and had a sweet tooth.
